Makoto Nagano is a 34 yr old fisherman. Recently he succeeded to complete the last phase of the Japanese game show: Ninja Warrior. Of more then 500 contestants only 1 other man has ever completed this killer assault course!

WOW.

I went to see a couple more bands last week.  On Wednesday I went see Explosions in the Sky at the Astoria in London. They were great and the venue was good for gigs.  Bit of a sweat pit in there though!  Right near the end of their set one of their Marshall amps caught fire with only the power of their ROCK! :)

On Saturday I trundled down to the Academy in Bristol to see Babyhead. I’ve seen them a few times now and it’s always a good night. They’re really lively with the own sound combining hip-hop, ska and dub.
Here’s a few shot that I’ve taken over the last few months at some of the gig I’ve been too. Lots of them didn’t come out too well, but it was dark I was a bit preoccupied to be taking photos,.,.,

You might notice in the bottom left pic that one of their Marshall amps has caught fire..

Explanation: Sometimes the sky itself is the best show in town. On January 26, people from Perth, Australia gathered on a local beach to watch a sky light up with delights near and far. Nearby, fireworks exploded as part of Australia Day celebrations. On the far right, lightning from a thunderstorm flashed in the distance. Near the image center, though, seen through clouds, was the most unusual sight of all: Comet McNaught. The photogenic comet was so bright that it even remained visible though the din of Earthly flashes. Comet McNaught continues to move out from the Sun and dim, but should remain visible in southern skies with binoculars through the end of this month. The above image is actually a three photograph panorama digitally processed to reduce red reflections from the exploding firework.

So it is actually 3 photos joined and it has been “digitally processed” but it’s still cool as hell if you ask me. :)
